“Breaking the Ice” - a new CMA  Meeting Launches in Bronzeville 

Breaking the Ice - Beginners CMA Meeting,” will launch Friday, March 6, 2026, from 7 to 8 pm at Chicago Black Gay Men’s Caucus https://www.chicagoblackgaymenscaucus.org/, 2930 S. Michigan Ave. The location is easily accessible on CTA via No. 4 Michigan Ave. bus, or a fifteen minute walk from the Bronzeville/IIT Green Line station at Michigan and 35th. 

 

The weekly format will vary to include readings from the Crystal Meth Anonymous 12-Step Guide on two of the weeks; one week devoted to open sharing; and one week with a guest lead speaker from the Chicago recovery fellowship.  

 

Founded in 2005, the Chicago Black Gay Men’s Caucus https://www.chicagoblackgaymenscaucus.org/about is a grassroots organization led by Black gay, bisexual, and same gender loving men, whose vision is a world where our community experiences complete physical, mental and social well-being. 

 

The mission of Chicago Black Gay Men’s Caucus is to advance health equity among Black gay, bisexual and same gender loving men by developing community-centered leadership and innovative programs.This includes supporting the Chicago Methamphetamine Task Force https://www.chicagoblackgaymenscaucus.org/chicago-methamphetamine-taskforce and eliminating HIV within our community, preventing all new infections and ensuring that every man in our community living with HIV achieves a sustained undetectable viral load.
